Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Welcome to Nundle Public School!

It is my great pleasure to introduce you to our vibrant and caring school community, nestled in the heart of the Peel Valley on the traditional lands of the Gamilaraay People. At Nundle Public School, we take pride in cultivating a culture of high expectations that empowers every student to thrive academically, socially, and personally within our supportive and nurturing small school environment.

Our dedicated team of experienced teachers and staff are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based instruction in literacy and numeracy tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. We foster a learning environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to embody our core values of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible learners. These values underpin all that we do, creating inclusive classrooms and playgrounds where positive behaviour and wellbeing are prioritised.

As a small school serving approximately 30 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, including a diverse population with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and learners acquiring English as an additional Language or Dialect, we deeply value the strength of community partnerships. Our active Parents and Citizens Association plays an essential role in enriching student learning experiences and supporting programs that extend beyond the school day.

We are proud to be a central hub within the Nundle village, offering students access to wonderful local amenities and fostering strong relationships between staff, students, families, and the wider community. Together, we work collaboratively to provide enriching opportunities that enhance each student’s educational journey and wellbeing.

Thank you for visiting our website. Whether you are a current family, prospective student, or community member, we warmly welcome you to connect with us and become part of the Nundle Public School family, where every learner has the opportunity to flourish.

Warm regards,
Joshua McDonald, Principal of Nundle Public School
